As fun as ever but nothing really new here.

User Rating: 8 | Rockman 5: Blues no Wana!? NES
Megaman 5 provides the same addictive challenge the last game did, but at times it does feel a little dull because the formula is exactly the same and not much new stuff.

Story: In the year 20XX the world was at peace, however all of a sudden an army of rouge Robots began to wreck chaos.
Megaman hurried back home in order to discuss the urgent matter with Dr Light, but as he arrived Dr Light was kidnapped by a robot very identical to Protoman.
Could it be that Protoman is behind the chaos? It's up to Megaman to find out.

Game design: While Megaman is relatively the same, enemies and other stage properties have gotten a few graphical tweaks and have very impressive animations, though sadly while I was excited about the new weapon game screen, it was just Megaman spinning and a short text of the weapon name.
Though the weapon gain sequence is very disappointing the rest of the game looks pretty impressive with some scene sequences and dialogues to illustrate the story.
Once again the same routine, 8 stages, bosses and final stages and you can save your progress using the password system.

Game play: Megaman is the same as the last game, shoot, jump and slide.
Rush also makes a return, with a few tweaks, and Flip Top will once again appear in certain parts of stages to give you supplies.
Through out the stages Megaman can gather letters that will unlock another extra feature.
However a slight tweak, which became a great flaw, is that every time Megaman is hit the charge shot gets cancelled.
This is very inconvenient as during boss fights you will take lots of hits and will find it unnecessarily difficult to line up shots.
You can find E tanks to stock up supplies and now you can also find W tanks, so you don't have to worry about not having weapon energy.

Sound: More sound affects have been added this time around so you won't hear the same tone for every enemy.
Music is average, not very interesting.

Megaman 5 is roughly the same as the last, no more, no less.
While its great they stuck with the same formula it would be nice to see a few noticeable new features.
Platformer fans and series veterans should check the game out non the less.
However don't expect much.
