Mega Man 11

mega man 11's demo is out and from what I've played is amazing and worth your time to try from the upgraded engine to the 2.5-D art style and the unique special weapons. The first thing that stood out to me was the challenge of the game itself, with their being 3 difficulty with the hardest being normal. it was harder than most mega man games I've played so far but i think that is due to the longer stage. But another reason why was adjusting to the new mechanic the double gear system. now personally i found the slow gear much more helpful than the attack gear because it was easier for platforming and landing shots but if you want to destroy robots quicker and give your special weapons a upgrade then the power gear is for you, and with the helpful rapid fire button it was mostly my fault when i died. the next thing was the art style, now I've heard that people prefer the pixel art style but i think it works very well. but i think some of mega mans animation can be choppy but that's just to make him have tighter controls. the controls do feel amazing and with the double gear system at play the blue bomber has never had so much control. now with the robot master block man he is unique but in the wrong areas. with his first pattern easy to figure out he transforms into a giant block guy his attacks are definitely trail and error. and with some of his attacks having wonky hit boxes hes a challenge but after that he goes back into his regular state but shoots a nonstop block barrage which inst that fun to deal with and has some resemblance to the yellow devil moving attack but you can shoot the blocks so the rapid fire is very helpful. but after that you get his special weapon which i think will be very fun to use in game especially with the attack gear activated. the other 2 special weapons are very fun with the electric arm and the drill having their uses just for this stage alone but i'm not sure if they were a weakness of the boss. the final thing i want to mention is the level design which is up to par with the other mega man games but the unique paths you can take with the slow gear is very inventive. so with that said i recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of 2-D games.
