Sir Daniel Fortesque, a dead hero, or wait is he dead? is he really dead? Yes he is, but wait he is also alive! The game is about him trying to save the world from the evil Zarok, and of course you take role as Sir Daniel Fortesque! Daniel is a bit of a Yoshi to me, wait can that be true? can a dead body really be that cute? - Of course it can, Daniel is the proof. If you are up to platformers with the cute little feel but also a bit sense of humor and darkness in the cute way, then Medievil may be what you're looking for. But if you are also into slash and hack games with little puzzle solving, then this is absolutely something for you! For it's time the graphics are pleasing enough, very clear and easy to see what is what, however some parts looks bit more simple than others. The gameplay can be a bit repeative and simple at times, but other things such as maps and the plot even makes up for that. The sounds are GREAT, except some silly sounds such as the skeleton in the menu. The Value is top notch, this game wont leave one that likes the genre untouched. Not by any chance, it's a collector's item. At least for playstation game-collectors. Overall it's clearly a 8.7/10 game.
