AWESOME! God make me stop playing this game!

I've been playing it for years! racked up over 700hrs. Just cant get enough. installed it and uninstalled it countless times (trying to stop myself playing). Being honest im a big history fan and love reading about history and love medieval weapons and combat, quite fascinating. But i was always let down by games like Age of Empires and Rise of Nations. I wanted big scale realistic stuff. When i played this i was mesmerised, honestly, It's so completely different from the 'old-style' strategy games. Basically flaws are few and far between and very minute (most solved with patches or expansions). It is cabaple of getting out the points of medieval society, politically and socially. the way people riot and thousands die, you can easily oppress the people (happened a lot those days), and combat is outstanding. It is scaled down from the real battle, same exact stuff just on a smaller scale! Only problem with it: the AI doesnt field the sort of units the real nation would have fielded (ex: the vast majority of the French army were mounted knights, the AI fields mostly infantry :S) One other minute flaw; to win the long campaign, u cannot upgrade your cities and buildings a lot (they cost a little to much), which ends up with you being in some 1400 with units and buildings that had long been obselete by then. Other than that, when also considering it was released in 2006, graphics and special effects (such as blood on knights armor, and me being a weapons fan i easily notice the correct method of using weapons like the bill or the way pikemen brace) Top notch! If you like historical stuf and medieval combat, its a MUST HAVE!
