Brilliant controls cannot save this game from being anything but a lackluster, ugly and dull first person shooter.

User Rating: 5.5 | Medal of Honor Heroes 2 WII
The Wii has never been truly blessed with a solid first person shooter (Metroid Prime 3 is a action adventure game so that does not count) and many of the FPS's on the Wii are either lazy ports from old systems or new games that are ultimately too generic to be any good. Medal of Honour Heroes 2 should be proud that its the best first person shooter on Wii however that doesn't mean that the game is something to shout about. Firstly lets get the good out of the way. MofH controls are top notch and are perhaps some of the finest on the Wii. Aiming using the cursor is fast and accurate, reloading is satisfying and plenty of other features such as tuning a radio or firing a bazooka are well implemented and help make the game feel that extra bit immersive. Unfortunately that's where the good stuff ends and the game suffers from a lack of polish and a poor presentation. The story is practically non-existent and is simply there to give each mission a meaning. On top of that while some levels can be fun, most drag on for too long and a lack of variety means they grow repetitive and dull very quickly. The game also suffers from poor A.I from both your team and the Nazis and you'll find the enemies just standing there waiting for you to shoot at them. The environments are varied enough but bland textures means they are a chore to progress through. MofH also includes some additional modes including an arcade mode and online play which enables a impressive 32 players online. The arcade mode is brief but fun and while the online play can be fun in capture the flag, the whole online mode suffers from some terrible glitches such as some players shooting through walls which ruins the whole thing. Medal of Honour Heroes 2 nails the controls and even contains the expected FPS package but when the game is this lacklustre, ugly and dull, its just not that much fun to play. Wii gamers deserve better then this!
