There are a few flaws but its worth it if you are an FPS or WW2 history buff.

User Rating: 7.5 | Medal of Honor: Airborne PS3
There have been a lot of Medal of Honor games throughout gaming history as you know. So is this the same thing as in previous MOH games? Well yes and no. Its the same FPS WW2 shooter as you have come to know in previous titles. So whats the difference? You actually get to parachute out of planes and land anywhere you want. For those who are thinking this is a PS3 remake of MOH Vanguard, (because that featured jumping out of planes too, but you were forced to land at one spot only) well fear not, because this is way better than Vanguard. I think personally that Vanguard is the worst of the series.
So anyway, the story focuses on an American paratrooper named Boyd Travers. As Travers, you must fight the Nazi war machine (and in one mission the Italians) and triumph over evil. Yeah it sounds like the same thing as in past MOH games but you get to jump out of planes and that is the new thing in this game. After you jump, you get to glide anywhere on the map, you can drop to recommended spots or drop anywhere you want but you could risk getting shot right there. Anyway, once you touch down, a number of objectives will be given to you and another new thing to the series is that you can carry out these objectives anyway you want and in what order you want. Unlike past games were there was a linear path you must take, these are open levels and theres opportunity to explore aswell. Also, unlike in past games, you can choose the weapons you start out with and these weapons can be upgraded. You can upgrade your weapons after you get so many kills with them, for example: You can upgrade the Thompson sub machine gun so it can have a 50 round drum rather than its standard 30 round clip.
Besides the new things in this game, the other good things in Airborne include great sound and great graphics. The graphics are very beautiful, you can turn your character and as you turn, the enviroment blurs which give it a bit of realism.
The bad news is that Airborne is short. Just when your starting to get into it and the intensity goes up, it ends. That left me dissapointed and begging for more. It starts to get intense in the final missions but if your just trying the game out, you have to go through the missions in the beginning and they can be boring. Also when your in the plane, you can actually look down and see your body. Almost like your a real person in the world but it goes away after you touch down.
Overall, I say its not a bad effort. Its worth playing or a least renting. I would recommend this game to anybody who likes WW2, FPS or just a loyal fan of the MOH series. People who play the Call of Duty games frequently may have a hard time trying to get through Airborne as the intensity and the action from Call of Duty is not here.
