Mass Effect 2 continues the story of the original title with some new gameplay ideas and changes.

User Rating: 8 | Mass Effect 2 (French) PS3
Mass Effect 2 is a direct sequel to one of the most memorable sci-fi stories in recent gaming with more action oriented focus.
You take a full control and carry over all the decisions of the first game as commander Sheppard encounters new foes and continues the struggle against the overwhelming and imminent return of the reapers.

This time around, cerberus - an all human focused organization is heavily involved with the main story arc and soon enough you will recruit some fantastic, new teammates that are truly well defined character on their own.

While the story is once again a highlight of the game and it's alone well worth playing for, I had been disappointing with the RPG elements.

Mass Effect 2 had been stripped away with many character, weapons and armor selection and options that were part of the original game in direct purpose to appeal into more action-oriented gameplay.

This is evident with action filled moments throughout the game, the skill based leveling are barely few left to chose from and they don't appear to be much noticeable during the actual gameplay.

The visuals are one of the finest in the industry, gorgeous vistas and many new locations to explore. However, even the exploration had been tuned down. While you can still visit locations, both new and old, this time around - you have less actual freedom to walk around.

Overall, the game story is definitely worth playing for, it's a goof sequel that improved on few areas but it did took away more role-playing elements the original game had. It's a mixed bag that is trying to appeal to both, third person shooter and RPG fans.

Here is a hope that the third game will extend that idea and offer more of the original game content.
Solid sequel worth playing to continues excellent story.
