A Faster, Cleaned up Port of a Game I played on Dreamcast

User Rating: 7.8 | Marvel vs. Capcom 2 XBOX
In essence this game could be called by some a straight port of a Dreamcast game, and they would be right. But when I compare the two I notice a few major changes for X-Box: The Loading Time is Almost Zero The Characters seem to be more Colorful and Vibrant The Gameplay is simply faster And The Sound is improved and more 5.1 friendly I don't know about other reviewers but X-Box had me sold with a faster processor, and the 5.1 support that it offered more then anything (Well the HD and Network card helped too) and this game takes advantage of both of those qualities. When I play a fighting game or any game for that matter I want the sound to surround me, which is why I and many other gamers bought a surround sound system, and the X-Box version sounds much cleaner and more layered then the Dreamcast version does. This game has been racked over the coals by many reviews simply for not having Online play. That is an angle that I really couldn't care much about, Playing these sorts of games with the types of people online would make me want to throw my control pad through the screen anyway. Although I can see why some would be angered that every X-Box game doesn't support live and that is understandable. Overall this game was a staple for most Dreamcast libraries and with the shear amount of titles on X-Box its hard to say that this is a must buy, but if you do find your way upon it you will be suprised. -Z
