With over 20 playable characters, Marvel Ultimate Alliance ranks over Xmen Legends II. Contrary to XMLII where Xmen are the only option, characters span from Spiderman, to Blade, to Ms. Marvel. In my opinion Ghostrider is the top character playable. Another difference to XMLII is that there is many characters to unlock as you battle through the levels. If you are like me, and are not acquanted with all Marvel characters, you become well known in the subject after completing the game. All though the effects sounds like they were recorded in a tin can, you can enjoy hours in this adventure across the Marvel Universe. Graphics look a little better than predecessors, but no real surprise in visuals. All characters have unique abilities that unlock with the gain of experience points and levels. No matter, if you like Xmen Legends II, you are bound to like this game even with the upgraded ideas. I recommend this game to anyone, Marvel comics fan or not.
