Very Dissapointed

This came out in Sep of last year. I bought the game, played it for about 8 hrs trying to see what was missing and why I did not enjoy it and they made too many bad changes to the first.

The fusions get in the way of game play, they are a good idea, but having them took away from the overall quality. Here are my gripes:

1) you can't customize gameplay and reduce the amount of heroes from 4 to 2 or even 1 hero. You always have to play with 4 heroes. That sucks because we play these game to use our imaginationa and make it our adventure and you can't really do that here.

3) Hero selection. The characters in this second game are not as good as the first. They could and should have added a better character selection in my opinion with the exception of Iron Fist.

3) You dont feel like a super hero. They cut the amount of powers each hero has from 6 to four. That is wack!! In the first game, gold edition, you could have a good time having 6 powers per hero to play with. You felt, as much as possible, like a hero. smashing like the hulk, or sliding around with ice man, invisibles girls powers were great. But this time, they are lacking soul, that's the only way I can put it.

4) Poor level design. I know this is a dungeon crawler, but there needs to be more open level design, more destruction. How come this is a civil war and buildings dont fall, and stuff does get demolished? this plays too much like an arcade game from the 80's with limited destruction even with all the hereos and bad guys going at it. when you fly, you dont even go as high as the last game, and you the controls feel very limited. Very dissapointing.

5) last but not least, only 2 costumes! In the first game they gave you 4 costumes, but now you only get two, and they give you the two most lame costumes. In the first game, I could play as beta ray bill, thor's alternate costume, and black spiderman, 1st ed iron man and re create certain battles or time periods and they looked good. Now you only get two? cmon.

oh, and my favorite character, the human torch, they dumbed down his powers so much it isnt fun to play and the voice overs are terrible.

Yes, I hate this game. I am not 12, if this game came out in 1995 I would have loved it, but with this whole next generation gaming thing, this crap should have been wayyyyyy better. Very dissapointing, don't waste time making another one unless you Activision are going to invest properly and make it the ****
