Action Role-Playing Science-Fiction adventure. The second entry in the series, published by Activision. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 A Beat ‘em Up with an improved, photo realistic graphics engine. We start off at DoomStadt, Latveria, 7/11 with Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine w/ Colonel Nick Fury. The five fight off couple waves of Latverian mooks. Now beginning a trek in the foreign village with the team trying to retrieve an intel drop. With a new objective the party was informed of a sudden power source. And after walking the town, Electro is introduced then defeated. We then get a scene with Fury trying to reach bravo, And Wolverine having dialogue with the Capt. and Iron Man interjecting we then see a anxious Spider-Man during the outing. And they set off to disable signal jammers. Encountering an attack chopper on the way. (If not destroyed, will just fly off.) When in the castle perimeter a fusion attack party members can enable will be prompt. Now before elevating to the top, a dialogue tree is introduced, aggressive, diplomatic and defensive. What I love about it is the responses in the box are different for the party member controlled. Well all playable characters’ dialogue boxes are phonetically suited for them. Like Hulk’s for example. the castle premises are now reached. There are few puzzles. There’s a ubiquity of collectibles to take, the rarest of them are power pips, points used to upgrade a hero in your party. Boosts. Like Equipment from the first game. But not quite. Boosts can be collected. can be found in any level. and are rewards from defeating bosses. Different types of Boosts could provide certain power ups: 1. Evading 2. Resistance 3rd fusion star 4. Faster Stamina regen Defeating bosses in Legendary Difficulty earns you powerful boosts. Ah and only three can be currently set no character could have their own. After, Fury aims Wizards projectile forward and Iron Man fires a pulse ray into it to disorient the castle gates. Labs when crossing a bridge beneath we see Iron Man executing a fusion with Captain America. If a party member is defeated in a mission and you enter a new location, a button will appear as a icon over them. With the signal jammers disabled. Now we’re able to proceed to the castle reactors. Meanwhile, at present day our next mission is to go a New York factory and rescue Ms. Marvel. Seems is a criminal operation, but Latverian guards are the ones stockpiling Destroy ‘munitions. White Star are an army of ex-shield agents. Now the hideout, we get the mess with their shipment of weaponry. Black Widow clearing a entrance for us in the enemy base. Spider Woman is then arrested. So is Hercules. And getting to core of the hideout is a boss battle with Cable. In the end, Cap checks in with his men only to see law enforcement heroes. Rooftop: next mission. We are sent dispose of anti- White Star cannons. Once done we are treated of scene with Venom knocking down tower antenna for the path. We soon find out about the in humane tactics shield has took for an upperhand. Controlling Villians with nanites. Now Venom. Is not the same Venom like in the first game. This is Mac Gargan. Yes. The Scorpion, Mac Gargan..the same Scorpion whom was the first boss fight in the last game. After all he sticks around, backing up the party after Prodigy’s fight. Then he takes off on the crane segment. The convoy: Cap rounds up his incarcerated people, Cable and Hercules. Multiple Man is then encountered and The Thing is confronted. Back on the rooftop the heroes corner Capt. America w/ Hercules and Cable. A couple of references I’d like to add, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, though the only two I’ve heard, this game has references from, this professor named Dave Goliath to, Spider-Man speaking of The Mansen family. An (In battle) quote haha. Oh and Goliath is the Giant fought. Now is time for Ambush: Containment with Steve and Tony talking with two of the sides altogether in the same place. Cap gets Iron Man off guard and well starks and all out brawl. Now with unregistered heroes arrested: Patriot and Firestar Multiple Man (once again) Colossus and Dagger w/ Cloak. Now with that we get in the elevator with a scene, War Machine trying to apprehend the Captain but fails. We then make our way to finish the job. With a shield agent notifying not to hit Venom. The Ambush: Face off, Captain America is confronted and leads delta team to an oval area for the fight. After being damaged he is assisted by Cage first now Iron Fist. Who is considered a primary target by Director Hill. Though going after and hurting Captain America would just have his replenished by Iron Fist. When Iron Fist is defeated, Cap orders Luke to turn up the heat. Later to get the door open. Taking it outside, Cap is encountered by Iron Man who Cap incapacitates briefly now Cage comes to help his man, Capt. America. Iron Man is up. At least until Luke Cages health bar is half down. Defeating Captain America first would just KO Luke Cage as well, resulting in his Boost not being picked up. Pro-Reg Bosses: Patriot Spider-Woman Hercules Cable Prodigy Multiple Man Dave Goliath Story when Anti-Registered: After “things gotten out of hand” the band of shielded, Shield Agents put down. Director Hill runs off. Then Mr. Fantastic is knocked back into the office. Exciting a politely, Patriot. We’re then greeted by Cage. And of course, honored by an, encouraged Captain America, honored with the choice. Settling in The white star Hub. BD Safe Harbor: Heading to the NJ base of operations. supporting the hideout throwing led bombs in the water. Spider-Woman rendezvous With us (liberty squad). We then reach Cables base. We’re attacked by a S.h.i.e.l.d. attack helicopter ordering a surrender. Proceed on the harbor stopping the S.H.I.E.L.D. Assault. War Machine, Shield and Bishop infiltrate the base, Black Widow is defeated. Base Defense Push Back: While in the base bringing turrets online, We now get a Turret companion of ours for the remainder of the mission. Spider-Woman is then attacked via comm. War Machine is defeated. Bishop Attacks Cable. Base Defense Overloaded: Reaching the command center, Liberty Squad Against Bishop. Bishop is encountered by liberty squad Bishop, and is then defeated. By his own source of power. Iron Man then contacts Bishop only to see Cable’s and the party success. Convoy Strike: Rooftops Liberty Squad takes out S.H.I.E.L.D. Anti Aircraft Guns and takes out their signal when Cable hijacks their radio comms. Friendly chopper flys in and clears out enemy’s from the roof across and creates a pathway for liberty. Four Shield, Rocket Troopers appeared at the roof across. Songbird appears on the roof claiming she’ll stop the teams treachery. Songbird is defeated meanwhile. Convoy Strike Truckin’: notice at, the trek along the crane didn’t get hairy unlike in the other path. Still. There are pieces of a crane dislodged. Enemy’s and three Anti-Aircraft Gun cleared out alongside the tracks. Disabled the transports. An affable run-in with Thing and a confrontation with Lady Deathstrike. With her defeated, and counterattack made, Thing becomes an ally. Convoy Strike Trunkin’ part II: With stopping the convoy and number of Shield agents beaten, Iron Man claims liberty squad is worth more than any hero arrested in the convoy. Iron Man then flies off and YellowJacket shows up. He’s then trounced. Now is time for Chemical Plant Cloaked: “I know is been intense” like the Capt. said Cable responds to a call of imperiled workers at a chem plant. Cloak took himself and all the unregistered heroes into a portal to the distress call quickly. And with Tony and Steve speaking with the two sides altogether in the same plant. Iron Man gets taken off guard by Captain America and well starts an all out civil war showdown. Now with the registered heroes faced: Bullseye Wonder Man Molten Man & She-Hulk Chem plant faceoff: With a full smoke screen up liberty squad proceeds down the plant to support Captain America but before, we Cable battling Venom in the bottom left. Rest assured Cable said he’ll hold his own. Now off to assist the Capt. Shell-Head is with his buddy War Machine. Before a boss fight with him (once again) he claims “Tony might’ve held back but he isn’t Tony.” of course after leading another trail of beaten Shield agents, Stark now has to face not just Cap but liberty squad also. He retreats for his repair systems after critical damage. Mr. Fantastic joins in to help seeing as its practically 5on1. With Reed’s health brought down to half. A scene incurs, now its Captain America and the four party members vs Iron Man & Mr. Fantastic. If Reed isn’t defeated before Iron Man crashes Reed doesn’t jump down, will result in his boost not being earned. He is shown KO’d in the cutscene when Iron Man is beaten. At the end Tony steps up from the ground. Him and Capt. exchange words. Iron Man saying: “Sometimes... you have to do the wrong thing at the right time...to save everything that matters... Captain America: “Nothing can justify what you’re doing. Nothing on-“ then a gas explosion was imminent. Iron Man not only got away but he took Reed with him. Cap orders liberty squad to gather out the wounded safely. This plant was own by the Stark Industries co. After all. Cable found out. Now is a bit of time boss battle. Off the Leash: Bullseye is shown with the two but is not battled again. Fury after a hiatus shows up unexpectedly he tries to diffuse bombs the controlled villains planted. An explosions happens, liberty squad well not, (liberty squad) any longer now the members of the party are presumed dead. We unlock a new HQ too a bunker. Fury does some explaining. Well now in a new act. Is time for the Negative Zone Mission Prison: Beating up Shield agents once more in a jailhouse brawl. A fellow in medieval armor is encountered. Now he was not in proximity of the Stamford explosion but with that tragedy making him feel is his fault. He was Speedball, now he’s known as Penance. Defeated easily, unfortunately. Not even by the heroes but by inmates with superhuman strength. Well we’re in the real negative zone. Fury joins the members of the party. Now the mission here is to find a cure, a sample. Is all hell breaking loose, well just in the cutscene of the Holding Cells with Captain America having a truce with Iron Man. Now Firestar is captured she needs rescuing, Moonstone and Bullseye have her in captivity, Well the nanites actually have Bullseye and Moonstone’s minds in captivity. Cage is eventually captured by Grim Reaper. Who is fought three times in this game. After freeing Cage he takes himself down the elevator. Theres a room in the top floor that turns out cryogenic. Well everyone needs to take the portal out of here!! With the party making their way down to the portal past patterned vent floors and sentry guns and now Grim Reaper got revived. And was beaten down for good. Party elevating back to the first floor where a significant appeared in front of them Whirlwind, Diamondback and heads up! it’s Moonstone! The three were defeated. And everyone was able to reach the portal all but one man. Back to the bunker hq, Where Reed Richards, Luke Cage, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are all there. Wakanda well Nanite collective is trying to reach Wakanda Black Panther and the rest of party won’t let it come to pass. Though at end of the mission, Green Goblin appears with Venom as nanite controlled bosses. But they’re cured after the fight. Venom and Green Goblin were unlocked and playable at the very end. And since they both appear in the hub and are able to converse with, like Venom talks to Green Goblin or Goblin to Venom, no special interactions there. Showdown: We travel to Iceland to stop the fold collective piece by piece for good. When inside the base there’s a boss fight gauntlet three by first setting in the core for warp. The entire base is tron blue, cybernetic blue with cybernetic bridges. The entirety of base is color-coded Tron blue. Now with the final boss. With the monologue given by Black Panther. The camera is panning over the repeater tower. But the version of the game for the sixth generation of consoles has a fully animated cutscene. The infected characters are shown cured! in Alright condition. Thusly when Black Panther is saying “Reports coming in now, from all over the globe. It looks like the entire collective is down. Great Work!” the scene shows him in Stark Tower during it. Well yeah. Magnificent.
