Darkness Reviews: Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge (PS2)

User Rating: 6 | Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge PS2

When I first played this game, I wasn't expecting much from this game. Just a simple fishing game. But when I got in it, I was surprised. It had some depth to it that I didn't expect it to have. But, at the end it's still pretty much what I expected from it. Fishing. I mean that's what this game is supposed to be about. And it does it fine. But surprisingly, it has depth. It has a tutorial section that has many tips, and I mean MANY tips, and they are explained well. You can get a lot of lures for different effects to attract different fish. Even a Tournament mode is there, which is an endless list of fishing rounds that have certain conditions that make you use some strategy. But, before going on anymore, let's cover graphics and sound. Graphics in this game are really good for PS2 standards. I think they can still hold up today. No complaints there, and the sound is fine. The sound effects are fine and the music is good too. Not too much to say about those things. Or the game it's self really. To sum it up, if you like fishing in a video game, you'll have a lot of fun with this. But if you don't, this will probably bore you. There's no real action here, I mean, come on, it's fishing. But the depth it has, I think it's worth a 6. If it didn't have that depth, I would probably rate this game a 5. But it does, so there. For more of Darkness Reviews, follow my profile (ripjaw5260). 'Till next time everyone.
