User Rating: 1.5 | Mario's Early Years: Preschool Fun SNES
Some concepts utterly fail due to concepts not really fitting with another, and lack of any point to it at all. Mario's Early Years is a game that completely redefines that meaning. As being a fan of Nintendo's sweet-natured Italian plumber, I was horrified about the outcome of Mario's Early Years, and how this game garnered a legacy of it being a travesty to it's market.

Mario's Early Years is essentialy an educational point and click game aimed at young preschool children. The voiceover gives the young player what item makes a certain sound, then the player figures it out. Whilst the premise of Mario's Early Years definetely has good intentions, it lacks any form of life or energy to get the child remotely engaged into it. The voiceover speaks in a sarcastic dry manner making the game's lack of effort sadly even more evident.

Mario's Early Years has a slow pace, sucking out the potential fun the game could of truly had.

Overall, Mario's Early Years is a disaster that ruined a sweet idea. Whilst the poetential was there, a lack of creativity made the game fall flat.
