This game is fun for multiplayer and has a long striker cup that can get annoying, but has very cheap moves that ruin it
This brings me to the part that I find the most annoying about this game: online playing. You go in thinking you're hella good and are gonna beat everyone. Sike! You find that there are hella good people that hold z and have balls bounce off walls and kick them into the goal and can get it in continuously and then they pick the fastest and cheapest characters possible that have moves that shouldn't be in the game in the first place. Takes Bones and Boo for example. Do you know why everyone thinks they rock? It's because all you have to do is charge up the ball, pass it to them, press any button on the D-pad, and they teleport into the goal. There is no stopping it. Same with Toad and Peach and Diddy Kong. They can jump RIGHT OVER the goalie without even taking a shot! I mean, is that how soccer was meant to be played?
Then, theres the NK bug, most commonly known as Boo teleports into the goalie's hands, pass the ball downfield, and kick it and its an automatic goal. The goalie misses it every time and its difficult to stop. You could be winning like 5-2, and 30 seconds later be losing 5-6 and guess what, game over.
Final recommendation for online: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT PLAY ONLINE UNLESS YOU HAVE THE INTENT TO GET VERY ANGRY. ill play online for 20 minutes and after that im so angry i feel like throwing my wii into my tv.
To sum it up, this is a fun game to play with people you know who wont use cheap moves and bugs, but ironically Nintendos first success with online has to be on the game with the cheapest crap.
