The first Mario Party game was the first game that I thought did the party game corectly. There are lost of different boards each with their own difficulty and things to do. You also got to play as some of your favorite Ninetendo characters. This game wasn't the best Mario Party game, but it really got things started on the series. The series has gotten older now, but this was when they were in their prime. The game was simple, there were blue squares (they gave you coins), red aquares (took away your coins), myster squares (who knows what will happen?), and stars (these get you in the lead, but cost coins). Then after each person went there would be a mini-game, where depending on the space you landed on you would all duke it out, be on your own, or have a team. There were hundreds of mini-games, and there were so many different kinds. Then you would be ranked with stars first and then coins second. This game was a lot of fun for people who owned Super Smash Bros. but wanted to play a another party game that was simpler and a little more relaxing. Sadly though, even today the Mario Party series still doesn't have as many characters as the Super Smash Bros. series
