Not the best Mario Party, but it is a great game

Mario Party is always remembered as highly addictive Multiplayer game, and its first version is a very impressive game, neither by its graphics nor by its sound, but it is a very good game because of the fun.

In the game you have to hit a dice block in order to walk around the board and go to the star. After all 4 contestants do it there will be a Mini-Game that can be either Free-for-all, 2 VS 2 or 3 VS 3. There is also the single Mini-Games but those will only appear when you land on a star space in the board. Your goal is to have more stars or coins by the end of 20 turns.

Graphically this is not a good game, the boards aren't completely 3-D and the characters are far from being sharp. The sound can be repetitive during Mini-Games, although some Board Themes like the one from Wario's Battlefield are great and I still hum it.

But let's get to this game's point. There isn't a Multiplayer game that can be compared to this one, it is so nice to play against your friends in about 50 different Mini-Games, and to be able to win from them just because bowser stole your friend's star.

The Mini-Games are good, but unfortunately some them are dumb, because you will need to spin your control stick as fast as you can, and it actually does damage your N64 controller.

The Solo-Mode is really boring and it won't be nice to play a board all by yourself, it is not nice to defeat a dumb CPU.

So, If you are searching for a Mario Party version for you to buy, I wouldn't suggest this one, there are some that are rally better, have more Mini-Games and nicer boards. However, if you are trying to get all Mario Parties go after this one, because it is worthy.
