More of the same...and is that good?

User Rating: 8.1 | Mario Party 6 GC
Making a game for years and years now, the purpose is to improve on the game. Mario Party 6 ignores this and only makes some tweaks with the gameplay...but it's still fun. The "story" is that the sun and moon, Brighton and Twila respectively, get in an argument on who is better. Mario gets the idea that if they throw a party, "the stars will help them." The newest and most notable feature is the is the Mic. The Mic is used during Mic Mini Games or in the seperate Mic Mode, which not only includes the Mic Mini Games, but a game where you must run with a star and a game show style game called Speak Up. The orbs (not capsules) are now can be picked up as you move, but this not only means you are forced to have an orb, but also it drags the games pace down real bad. And because the gameplay is basically the same, it's almost like you're playing the same party from a previous year. A new playable character has been added and that is Toadette, who has been in a number of Mario games recentely.

Again, the graphics have barely changed. The characters still look the same as they did in MP5. The sound is also the same. It's ripped from MP5 as well.

While it feels the same, the game is still good enough to play.
