Mario Kart Super Curcuit is a passable game for the Gameboy Advance, but it's still not that great either.

The presentation is pretty much the same from its predecessors. You have grand prix, time trial, single and multiplayer modes. The presentation level dropped mainly because it's not always easy to play it with a friend like you could in Mario Kart 64.

Since this game is portable, you need at least a second player to play with you, and they have to own it as well. This is a major problem because not everybody has Mario Kart Super Circuit. You are also required to own a GBA link cable in order to play it with a friend. This is all too much for me because not everybody has a Game boy Advance. Don't be surprised if you find yourself playing alone most of the time.

This game also feels like a dumbed down version of Mario Kart 64 because the graphics and sounds are worse. The voices are way too soft, and you can barely even hear them. They still sound great, but it's also painfully limited. The graphics are passable as well, but they could of been improved a bit. They look okay, but it still looks somewhat pixilated. The music is also okay, but it doesn't sound memorable and impressive.

The controls are still responsive and precise. You can still drift like you could in the previous games. It just gets boring very quickly because I'm not able to play it with a friend that much. Also, the sense of speed has also been taken away a little bit.

the good - portable, controls are precise and responsive

the bad - requires a GBA link cable and second cartridge to play with a friend, not so great graphics and sound, sense of speed is somewhat slower
