It's mario kart, it's good. you're gonna buy it, what more do i have to say? lol
Now that mario kart has made its iteration on the ds, it has kept all of its charm and more. tracks are well designed like usual with some creative scenery and nice level design with cleverly hidden traps and powerups. tracks are instantly pick up and play, meaning even if you have never raced on the track before, you can still do well in thre race. the controls, like usual, are sharp and easy to learn. because this is an arcade type racer, steering is easy, and powersliding is fun and effective once mastered.
the graphics are nice for a ds game and looks great. i have not encountered any serious pop ups or any probs. the sounds are nice and catchy and retain the feel of mario games. audio voices are cute, and the sound effects are cartoony and well done.
this ds game also inclues many multiplayer modes (which can be played single player) and the ability to race online via wifi. online play is relatively smooth and enjoyable. nothing onilne really renders the race useless. online play is well made.
To sum things up, mario kart is a must-own for any ds owner. it's fun for the kids, fun for everyone, fun for the family, and can be played in short bursts. multiplayer and online play is just icing on the cake and gives it unlimited replay value. this game is fully worth the money, and it's no surprise taht this game is still selling well years after release.
