If you havent got Mario Kart 7, you should. This game is in my opinion the best of its series, and anyone who plays any of the mario karts, but doesnt have this needs to get it now. Apart from the single-player mode, if you dont have access to Wi-Fi then your missing out on alot, Mario Kart 7 like the wii version offers an online access to race against other players, and although this doesnt seem very difficult, the ranking system used online can be challenging to get up. The system, which is ranked in 'VR' can go up by 1-20 depending on where you finish, so you will be able to play against friends or randoms attempting to better their ratings. This is the best part about mario kart 7, not to forget that the tracks, characters, single-mode gameplay and battle mode carry on from the older versions, they seem to get better everytime, and im wondering if Nintendo will run out of ideas for names. Again theyve added 16 courses from previous games, and the selecting is unsurprising, these courses like the first 16 are some of the best, like Rainbow Road SNES, showing that Nintendo are looking to keep some simplicity to the users gameplay along with these courses that seem to get more creative. Now with the kart customization, which doesnt seem extremely important, you can now pretty much select your own prefered karts, and theyve also brought back coins from the GBA game!
So when going onto streetpass you can actually see all of your stats, your VR, wins, losses, total coins, and your friends aswell. The coin idea keeps me playing single-player mode, and the online multiplayer is the main reason why im playing it.
The only downside to MK7 would be the battle courses, there isnt many of them and i wouldve prefered if they wouldntve used half from other versions, and rather more new ones.
