Awesome game... once you get the controls down

User Rating: 8 | Mario Basket: 3 on 3 DS
Okay let me explain, the controls aren't bad, in fact they aren't even close to being bad, but they are finicky, I think that's the right word. If you think you will be using the A, B, X, and Y buttons, you are sadly mistaken, this is the DS we are talking about here, so of course they use the D-pad and the touch screen, and that's it. So they are actually solid once you get them down, and it isn't too hard to get them down, after the 15 tutorials. So although this seems like it should belong to younger kids, they will lose interest really fast because they won't be able to control it. That simple. Other than that its really good except for that they take "Easy" and "Hard" to the extreme. Easy is way too easy, and Hard is way too hard. I think I'm making the game sound worse than it is focusing on the bad parts of the game, but really that's all that people care about if they are depending on reviews to see if they will buy the game. But the game is a lot of fun if you get over those two road-blocks.

Pros.
- Best graphics I have seen on the Nintendo DS
- Surprisingly solid and comfortable controls after you get them down
- Games can get pretty intense
- Takes a whole different turn on basketball
- Awesome gimmick courts
- Tons of Unlockables
- Lots of courts and players to chose from

Cons.
- Controls take a while to get used to
- Difficulty settings have been taken to the extreme

So overall this is a solid and fun game. If you like basketball and Mario (which I love both) this is a must buy, if not, this is at least a rental.
