i guess graphics wise its a pretty old style game, the sprites were low res and it wasn't true 3d. The one thing that this game had was a deep storyline and back story, it was always cool to read the scattered terminals. Also when you beat a chapter of the game you were rewarded with some really awesome game art by Craig Mullin. The sounds were, for its time, acceptable and it housed some interesting original songs, and when you heard a hunter cry you always had to watch out around the next corner. The phfor fighters had the funniest sounds of all, they reminded me of a duck and a frog combined. It took forever to beat this game, same goes for the other two, sometimes you would get stuck on a map for an hour before you found the right terminal or switch. It was also a hard game to play too, not because of the controls, but the enemies were always in swarms and occasionally it had some environment challenges that took a while to get past. They say that marathon is a predecessor to Halo, and in a few ways it was, especially the fun multi player and the story has similar elements. Even though it is an old game its still has some replay potential today.
