A fun game for a while, but lack of plot and exponential growth of exp requirements will end any desire to log on.

User Rating: 6.5 | Maple Story PC
In Maplestory you are currently able to choose from 5 different classes, each with different combat styles and flashy moves. Although it is easy to level into the 30's (it will seem hard at first until you get used to it) leveling begins to slow down in the 60's. Skills look very cool and are very useful and you will continue to level in hopes of obtaining more, but at some point you will notice that there is even less of a point to then there is in other MMO's. In most games you can look forward to difficult quests and interesting story lines. In the end you are really just leveling to get skills so you can use those skills you gain exp faster to get more skills (though it will end up being slower because the exp needed to level has exponential growth). While Maplestory's quests are certainly "difficult" they are in the wrong way. None of the quests work in to any actual story line, most of the text written in them isn't even proper English (and I don't mean simple mistakes like "to boldly go" I mean ones that will have you reading the same sentence over and over wondering how their translators can be that illiterate). Almost all of these plot-lacking quests will have you killing the same monster for hours to get hundreds or even a thousand of one of their drops.
Although all classes have cool and useful skills, the lack of any use for them (such as quests with plots or pvp), and absurd training time will have you wondering why you ever wasted your time clicking the download link.
