Excellent! Don't know where the bugs are

I've been a die hard long time PC gamer, ever since 1993!!! with Tony LaRussa. I've lived and died as game after game was either too unrealistic or too difficult. My all time favorite game had to be FPS Baseball 94...ahhhh that was magic. But enough nostalgia. MLB2k10 is in my opinion (and trust me, I've played 'em all on the PC) one of the better ones. Is it the best? No, but it gets the gameplay right. While I've had to really work on the hitting (who doesn't) the game itself is easy to pick up and play and the franchise mode is simplisitc if you want it to be and involved if micromanaging is your sort of thing. I'm not impressed with the simulated games as you tend to win or lose in clumps of three or four. There are too many line drives caught in the infield for an out, and there isn't a pitcher/battle duel that I can find: most at bats are resolved within no more than two pitches, three max...while batting however you can prolong the AB by batting defensively, but it doesn't really help.
I know it sounds like a downer, but consider if you will the number of graphic (as opposed to text-based) PC baseball games that are out there...I'll wait a while...that's right: zero! so while it automatically wins best out there, I am impressed for 2K sports for trying to improve in areas. There are lots of 'tweaks' in all areas, lots of opportunities to create and develop teams, the commentary is generally bang on. I'm really impressed with it: it would take just a simple patch to fix some of the problems I had with the game.
Let me state also, in closing that I've seen none of the bugs that gamespot seems to have. That's not to say they don't exist, I've just not seen them to date.
Great work 2k!!
