This is my review/opinion of MLB 2K10 for the Xbox 360. First off I've played the demo and from that I knew that I was buying the game. Finally after the 4 previous installments 2k sports has finally made a baseball game worthy of being on the Xbox 360.
Presentation: 9/10
The presentation in this game is nearly perfect. The real time stats are great and MLB today is going to add so much more depth to the series. MLB today works as advertised and keeps up with Major League Baseball stats to give you an update to date feel when you hear the commentating. They guys calling the game do a great job of making you feel you are actually watching a baseball game. Graphics: 8.5/10
Graphics are great and most of the animations run smoothly with the frame rate. Sometimes an animation slows a little bit but this never takes away from the game. I've only noticed minimal glitches with the players. I've glad they finally have the game running smooth this has been killing me over some of the other titles in the series. I feel like everything is much brighter and has a more vibrant look this year over last year.
Controls: 8.5/10
I've played over ten hours of this game and have not seen any cheap errors or glitches to cause an error or even the ball just go flying right over my player without catching it. They have really cleaned up and made everything work simultaneously together. My only complaint is that players have really strong arms at times. It doesn't take away to much but it can make me feel like I can't steal or I'm dead. So other than that I don't see anything wrong and it feels right.
Other game modes:
Online has run smoothly me for so far. The My Player Mode is an absolute blast and give more replayablility to game! It's really fun to work your way up through the minors and working towards goals to achieve success at the major league level.
Overall: 8.0
I gave this score because of a few minor issues that can be fixed no problem. Other than those I don't see a problem and have really enjoyed played baseball this on the Xbox 360. 2K sports has finally made a baseball game that any fan of baseball and owns a 360 can really enjoy.
