Definitely a neat idea but more of a well-spirited novelty and good effort than a satisfying game experience.

Played it about halfway through and lost interest. To me the novelty quickly wears off and I think there should have been a more prolonged arch of progression in the game. Maybe start out with only three or four elements and add more or level them up etc. and maybe an inventory or skills etc. It is a neat idea but to me, it does not go deep enough. Of course, it is more or less and indie title but that has long ceased to be an excuse for limited gameplay (look at Clash of Heroes or Dungeons of Denmor for example)

The humour in the game can only carry me for so long and after the sixth or seventh Star Wars reference, the joke wears pretty thin and if I want to laugh, I watch some BBC comedy or Youtube Videos, but I am here to play games. The graphics are good but not great, the world design is pretty generic and not as glorious and well-designed as Bastion for example which has a similar feel to it. The controls are a real beast to master and some might find this challenging but ever since the forlorn days of the Atari 2600 and its button smashing antics, I am quite okay with not having to contort my fingers and torture my hand in order to be good at a game. I'd rather want the difficulty to be created by strategic decisions and tactics instead of tough controls. Of course, whenever you do hit, it is deeply satisfying but alas, it does not happen often enough.

Like I said, a better pacing and more complexity would have won more over. This way, I feel like I experienced the core gameplay already, even though I am halfway through as there is no storyline, loot or additional magic disciplines to keep me interested.

Definitely a neat idea but more of a novelty and good effort than polished game.
