Borrows some ideas from AC:WW, but is an original masterpiece.

Recently, I purchased MQMT. I was looking forward to raising 30 bucks for this, and it was better than I expected. And I had high expectations. This game is like Harry Potter, Animal Crossing, and (don't take this the wrong way, but...) MySims mixed together.

You start out as an apprentice wizard, and you learn spells in class. These spells range from pranks to play on your mean classmates, to vital in quests.

You can unlock Mystery Time, where everything looks different, the music changes, and you can find different visitors, and creatures you can catch. After Mystery Tim ends, there will be a quest/mystery to solve.

There is plenty to explore in the town. A haunted house, a clothing shop, a hair salon, a furniture/music/wallpaper/carpet store, a (juice) bar, apartments, a potion shop, and even a weird little man's ever-moving Noodle Shop. You can take a Taxi Broom to an island, where you can meet and battle a Pirate every Sunday.

Oh, and I forgot to mention... NO DEBT AND MORTGAGE!

I'll bet you already wanna pick up this game. Just wait. There's still more.

You can purchase a broom, which come in many different styles (you can get 8 from a free download), and cruise around town with speed and style. The only downside is they're all the same speed, and you can't go over the river with a broom alone. You still need to use the bridge.

Your town has about 10 residents, all of which are either animals, or... not. There's even a cell phone resident. These are randomly generated, as in AC. There are more personalities, and more conversation, which decreases the chance of annoying repeated conversation. You can also hang out with residents, where they follow you everywhere you go, besides the Haunted House. They're scaredy-cats. You can also get a girlfriend/boyfriend, which adds a sort of Harvest Moon twist!

Overall, this game is a great play. Animal Crossing lovers are sure to be addicted, especially if you have a "been there, played that" attitude about AC:WW. Magician's Quest Mysterious Times offers many new and innovative ideas and aspects to original formula.
