Fans will instantly connect with the game of old but with beautiful graphics and a great fictional city that is every bit colorful and vibrant. From people to the posters on the walls and shops line up to create a perfect experience. The night time of the city is great.
The gameplay is kind of average and that is what sets back this good game from becoming epic. The gun fights are pretty less and usually you get tired of driving car from one point to other doing oddball missions. Although the game picks up serious steam in some of the missions.
The upgrades that can be done on cars, looting banks, buying clothes etc is what that makes this game a lot more fun to play around. Not to mention the fact that the city is so richly detailed and well crafted that you can easily forgive some of the problematic missions in terms of driving from point A to B to kill someone who you actually end up killing in a cut scene.
In all a great game, better than mafia 1 in aspects of graphics (of course) but otherwise short of becoming a true sequel to the original. The graphics are top notch & sound is also pretty good.
