Greatest addition to the Madden Franchise in years!

THIS GAME ROCKS! Since EA got the exclusive contract with the NFL a number of years back, I've missed the variety of NFL games to chose from. The "Madden Only" model has become old and tired. August comes, a new Madden is released, and let's face it, it's pretty much been the same game over the last 5-7 years, just with improved graphics and updated rosters. This "rinse and repeat" like strategy has left me cold to the Madden Franchise. So when I downloaded the trial for Madden Arcade, I expected very little, but got a huge surprise.

Madden meets the old NFL Blitz! 5 on 5, no first downs, no penalties, first to 30 wins the game. AWESOME!!!!

You can choose from any of the current 32 NFL teams and play and NFL Blitz style game, complete with built in boosters, and limited game calling. The simplistic nature of this game is something I realized I've missed in video games. This game scores points in the online matches. The server is fast and I haven't waited more than a few seconds to get paired up. Whether your playing online, with a group of friends, or by yourself, Madden Arcade may be the best $15.00 you spend on gaming all year.

The only small problem this game has is when you are playing with a friend online, you can't simply rematch or choose different teams. You must exit back to the main menu and reinvite the friend to play. Kind of a pain.

Overall, you won't be disappointed in this game. Hopefully, EA will realize that simple is better.
