Madden 99 is simply just a classic. It is one of the first Madden games to be made. It's one of those games that you play everytime you dig out your old Nintendo 64. It has bad graphics, but it was the 90's, back when the 64 was next-gen. Sometimes, I enjoy playing games that have bad graphics. Tell you the truth, I don't even know why I'm writing this review. Basically, this game is very fun. An early football game. It came out before it was common to have a computer and internet. It sounds like I'm old, even though I'm a teenager. This game is very fun to play with friends who want to visit the VHS days. Like super smash brothers, you just have to play this game when you take out the 64 to see the difference in things. This game has all the key elements of a real football game. You can do time outs and choose your play, but you have to improvise jukes around other players. This game is actually kind of close to NFL street in the sense that there are almost no fouls, just offsides. Compared to games and systems nowadays, it's hard to write a review. It's a good game, just a classic. The ten years ahead of this game is Madden NFL 09, which recently came out. I guess there are two eras of games. 2002 is the old era, and 2003 and up is the new era. In the old era this game would be one of the best. In the new era, version 09, it is a good game.
