Madden NFL 07 is just that. Another Madden NFL game thats updated from last years 06. Not much going on here but...

Right on time as expected, EA comes out with its newest Madden NFL game with the numbers (surpise!) 07 on it. Its got an update on all teams and individuals, a few various changes here and there, but besides that its just a nose-job from last years game, and a face-lift from the year before that. Don't get me wrong, It's a terrific football game. The Franchise mode and the Superstar mode are all fun and do a great job at keeping the player play games after games of the same football. There are some setbacks such as humongous saving times and the Superstar mode has a special camera that can't be changed. This does give the player a more personal connection with his star, but if that star needs a better camera angle to succeed you'll both end up getting frustrated. The graphics arenicely done and so is the sound and the music collection. The game has really no problems and if you like football and like playing video game football then Madden is a superb choice. But there's no real reason to buy 07. 06 and 05 are probably sitting somewhere on a shelf with a large price reduction now that they're all outdated and yet they still deliver the same great madden. So unless you can't stand having outdated teams and players, then there should be no shame in just buying an older one. And if you already have one of those, then you should just forget Madden 07 altogether and just keep on playing whatever you got.
