This game improved on Madden 2005 in a lot of ways...and it also screwed a whole lot up.

First of all, don't believe the hype of the QB Vision Cone. I turned it off almost immediately after trying it. The idea of having to manually move your QB's eyes around the field just didn't make sense. That being said, this game is similar to Madden 2005 in many ways, one of which being the Hit Stick, which is back. You either like this or hate this, but I personally liked it. Another new addition is the Truck Stick, which is simply the offense's version of the Hit Stick, and it's very good, and I was impressed by this feature. Also, defensive assignments are back, along with individual defensive playmaker, and both features really make playing defense more fun.

And now, for the fun part...everything bad about this game:

To start this off, Madden still has the same problems that have been in the game for YEARS, such as receivers like Owens and Moss dropping passes when they were wide open, and players running out of bounds while catching a pass. Another problem is that the receivers seem to be able to catch passes on fade and streak routes more often then they were able to do in Madden '05, and it can get really annoying really fast. Yet another problem is that you're not able to strafe while controlling your receivers anymore, which makes manually controlling receivers really hard and frustrating.

Overall, this is a good game, though at times it can really, really, REALLY get on your nerves. But if you manage to find it at a low price somewhere, don't hesitate to grab it.
