"This is the best game on the PSP." That's what the cashier at EB said to me when I was thinking of buying Lumines. He wasn't lying. Lumines looks like Tetris, but the variety of gameplay and innovative style really shows you that it isn't just Tetris with good graphics. Lumines is extremely addictive and very appealing. There's more strategy and thinking ahead in Lumines than any other puzzle/rhythm game out there. The graphics in this game are very nice. There are so many flashes and crazy things going on in the background that you wouldn't really expect from this kind of game. But it all works really well to make a beautiful looking game. The music in this game is all pretty good. It's techno/dance, so if that's your cup of tea you'll like it. There's not much more to the sound than that. Although the sound effects that are there sound great. This game is extremely addictive and will not get boring. The variety and intense challenge keep it appealing. I have come to realize that the overweight, balding man working at EB was not lying. In fact, he couldn't be more truthful.
