A very fulfilling adventure, with a stake in the heart from its multiplayer modes.

This game has a great storyline, I had quite a time beating it and I am a diehard fan of the aiming system in this game. It has a fairly tough difficulty curve, even the easiest mode is a challenge to a degree. Though the story makes a great game, the multiplayer just beats it over the head repeatedly, even after it is dead. It is plagued by a minuscule and further dwindling population, lacking the amount of opponents needed to have fun, immersive gameplay in the multiplayer mode. The game modes themselves are decently fun, although having a plethora of matches and players [that aren't hardcore Japanese gamers I might add, seeing as 80% of this game's players are from Japan and they're super good] could have made this game so much more. I really hope that with the second one they fix these minor setback so that I have a new game to waste time with when I'm bored, if not, I'm goin' to Splinter Cell. Overall, Lost Planet is a good game and I would suggest getting it if it's around $20 or less at the moment. If not, wait until April for Lost Planet 2.
