Hey looks a boss just ate me. Time to gut him from the inside.

Lost Planet 2 is a third person shooter and sequel to Lost Planet 1 by Capcom. It offers character customization, great levels, a fun campaign and amazing gameplay.

Campaign -

Lost Planet 2's campaign is split into six sections where instead of playing as a specific type of character for the whole game you are split between different factions in the fictional planet of E.D.N. III. The storyline of the game isn't anything impressive and maybe a step down form the previous game however the unique diversity of the levels makes up for this. They are fun to play and easy to navigate with only a few times you will momentarilly wonder where you are supposed to go before the answer becomes obvious. One of my only complaints however is that I would appreciate if there was an expanded voice cast as many of the characters seemed to have been voiced by the same person in the same tone. While it isn't a setback it takes away from the experience.

At first when you play the campaign you will be locked into a specific characters role for that episode however after completing the game you are able to replay any level with a fully customizable character. An added feature that game also supports four player coop is a bonus as you will be able to play through each of the levels with your buddies and experience kicking some akrid and human *** with your friends.

Multiplayer - The Multiplayer for the game consists of three game modes. Elimination, team elimination and post grab. Sadly my personal favourite akrid hunter from Lost Planet colonies does not make its return. You are able to play online as one of five factions who are then customizable. The online as always is fun to play however there have been complaints about the servers at times.

Gameplay - The gameplay for lost planet 2 is exceptional. This is where the game shines. From the weapons that are offered to the emotes (ranging from taunts, dances, expressions etc...) and abilities that you can choose to equip your character with this game offers a lot of diversity in your characters. The return of the hook and the weapons youc an unlock (gunsword, hand cannon, plasma rifle...) help you customize the game to what you want to play. In addition combat takes place not only on land but underwater and in space as well, and with the addition of more VS suits and VS merging the campaign does not get boring.
Boss fights are also fun as you are not locked by staying in one area and just repeating the same thing over and over to take the enemy down. You have the whole area and in one particular boss battle an akrid fight you can jump on top of it, hit if from afar or even take the fight inside the creature.

Overall Lost Planet 2 is a very fun game to play, and far more fun if you had friends who played it as well. If you are looking for a fun coop experience I would recommend this game to you.
