This game...This game will have you spending hours farming enemies for their cores just so you can get that sword you've been dying to obtain, or that card that will increase your magic repertoire. If you like highly customizable, quick paced, team play action, this game will give you all of those things. The gore could have been quite a bit better but there is a lot of blood and chunks in here...for example you and your party deal enough damage to the boss of the area and then it goes into a series of quick time events "melee battle" that your entire party has to complete successfully, and if you are...you are rewarded with a fountain of blood and spoils...everything an adventurer craves.

The leveling system is quite unique, you gain 3 different types of experience. You gain Base Exp, Weapon mastery and Magic Mastery. When you use one of the five weapon types you will gain experience in that class weapons mastery and in turn you will learn new "Arts" and achieve higher combo moves for that weapon. Each weapon has 4 arts, that completely change the way the weapon is used, for a total of 20 different play styles. I haven't personally experimented with magic yet so that's all a mystery to me...

Overall even playing the same 3 levels for about 10 hours I haven't lost the slightest interest in this game and I'm still farming and building up my character for the full retail version...that's right...demo data carries over...
