Little big planet was one of my favorite games on the PSP. But when i watched youtube videos of levels such as "Little Dead Space"by darkness, i always wonderd why i coulndt express my levels in that kind of fashion. Thats when i realized i was missing out on something way diffirent. After christmas (when i actually got a PS3)i went to gamestop and picked up little big planet.

The end result was almost flawless and thankfully i imediatly got online play!

Your a sackperson. A charming dude that you can customize in almost every way. Your need to gather 7 creator curators for...something. The story (like the PSP)doesnt really make anysense at all , but the levels you play are fantastic.

The gameplay is quite simple. Its played in a sidescroller platformer style, with the x button for jumping, and R1 for grabing. Thats really it aside from the popit menu(which ill explain in a big little bit)but not only does media molecule deliever great platforming and puzzles, but youll encounter moments where youll need to use a jetpack, and a paintinator (a DLC from the Metal gear solid pack.)

The pop it menu is the most useful item you get. Not only is it used for stickers, character customization, pod customization, and chating with friends(or dudes right next to you for some reason)But its also used for making levels in the wonderful level creator mode.while it can be tiresome when you constantly restart due to mess ups and puzzles or others need tweaking. Its a rewarding process where levels can almost (remember little big planet 2 is just a day away.)be seen the way you would want. though youll need alot of patience because if you want to get all of the tools, youll need to go through a long list of tutorials before you get to creating (unless you find away to make a blank level fun) But PSP owners had to go through this too. Only its more rewarding here. (check out my Metal gear solid 2 (a user created sequel to the DLC)Acts 0-8 and my Metal gear solid Fox Ops Mission 1-5, just type my user name xbox3601000)

The multiplayer adds even more to the experience (whether its 4 people on one system, you and 3 others online or both at the same time)Where you chat and hang out, then play levels online. A nice little touch is when in voice chat you sack persons lips follow along with what your saying.

Though its not without its problems.

Theres incredibly annoying lag issues (mostly when your not the host)and at times the game will dissapear leaving you in the hands of the rest of the group. Sackpersons movement is awkard as he doesnt seem to stop right or jumping isnt determined right. Add this with the limited number of lives and you get some layer of frustration.another is online multiplayer in the creator mode. While i totally dig this, people tend to toss in random stuff and at one point frustrated so much that i faked a network connection error by turning off my system. But whenever im in some elses level, i sit and watch the same thing happen to the host (except without faking a connection issue) while i sit idle and say to my self"why are we playing with this guy in the first play. So say what you want, ill remain solo when i make my levels.

Another is that while People (like IGN)say you can play PS3 levels on the PSP, Theres no way to play PSP levels on PS3. I spent an hour trying to figure it out until i realized it cant happen.

What a waste of time!

Other than the gameplay itself. LBP delievers in the sound and the graphics. The graphics give you the feeling of a disney pixar movie, with awesome particle effects and lighting effects (which the PSP didnt do as well but still looked good.)The music is flawless with metal gear music thrown in the mix. Atleast most of them had me whistling the tune or just looping in my head all day (Thanks for getting "get it together"stuck in my head media molecule.)

Little big planet is a masterpiece. While little big planet 2 may just be a day away. its under 20$ and a great choice if you cant afford little big planet 2, so stay tuned. Cause my MGS3 will be in LBP 2. (and for those not getting lbp 2 right away im releasing 5 expansions to MGS2 called fox ops.Mission 1 is out now and maybe 4 more will be released.)
