A perfect example of what creativity can achieve, without big budgets and fancy hardware. A must play for all gamers.

User Rating: 9.5 | LIMBO PC
CoD, Battlefield, Rage, GoW, Halo, all big names in the gaming industry, some productions cost rivals Hollywood movies. With millions in marketing and publicity, millions more in expensive hardware and upgrades. And then Limbo came along.

The game can't get any more simpler, you only can do a few things with your character: Run, Jump, Pull and Push. This side scrolling platformer uses a grayscale palette, but pulls it of so well with its excellent sound effects that you will get instantly immersed in the world of Limbo. Let me be clear, Limbo is not a happy game, its very dark, ominous, you get the feeling there always something in the darkness, plotting to give your character a vicious and horrible death.

Your adventure involves getting your character through a series of obstacles, in the form of clever puzzles, falling rocks, rising water or giant spiders, alive. Failure to do so will result in a surprisingly brutal and gruesome end. It's one of those games that you feel slightly disturbed it's rated 'Mild Violence', I never knew decapitation is considered 'mild'.

All in all, the biggest win for this game is the satisfaction you get once you clear a stage, much like the Portal series. The only flaw I can think of is probably that the game is too brief. I would recommend this game to anyone who uses their brain when gaming, just so you know you don't have to spend loads of cash to play a really good game.
