A smooth, fun, and very short platformer. You play as a little shadowy guy who can manipulate boxes of light to create platforms needed for traversing each level.

I don't have a whole lot to say about the game, truth be told. I enjoyed the platforming. It was very smooth, when the action picked up, moving quickly across the stage felt nice. As you progress, you collect hidden journals that detail an adventurer's journey through the world of Numbra, where our story takes place. In later levels, accessing these journals often requires completing a little mini-challenge within the stage, which was a welcome test of abilities using everything you unlocked up to that point.

The game doesn't look half bad either. The journals that you collect detail each area you go through, and you see this reflected in the scenery behind you. The game sometimes uses what's happening in the background to directly show events happening to other characters you interact with as well.

I enjoyed the game well enough, but again, it's quite short. I finished the story and collected nearly all of the journals in about three hours. There are also characters to be freed from crystals for those who want to plumb the game for everything it has to offer, but even considering what that adds, I can't recommend buying it at full price.
