Lemmings lives up to its name as one of the best strategy games ever made.
The sound is nothing to talk about. Firstly, there are SOME original tracks in there, but most of the time there is just boring background music. Secondly, the original tracks are not particularly well done, usually repeating themselves several times, as they only go for a minute or so. Apart from the music, there are also some minor sound errors. When a lemming falls into water, they make a glug sound. when they fall into lava, a hiss word apears above them, but it still uses the same glug sound as if they fell into water.
The main game has over a hundred levels, ranging from very simple, to highly strategic or chaotic. there are four categories/difficulties; fun, tricky, taxing and mayhem. There are 20 levels in each difficulty, plus an additional 36 levels made exclusively for this game. The best part is still to come.
The best addition to Lemmings is the level editior, and being able to share your own home made levels to anyone in the world. The level editor is very excellent and in-depth, and has hundreds of pieces to choose from. These incluse pieces for the five themes; Egypt, Rome, Hell, Earth and Crystal, as well as traps, water and building, digging, fall distance, mine angle (and other) guides. So far, i have made about 20 levels, which you can all download and play by searching "pretzel" in the user ID search in the European Universe. Yes, the best part of all is that you can download thousands of levels that other people make. so you have a an unlimited amount of levels to play!!! Level packs can be downloaded from anyone who has uploaded them, and there can be up to 10 levels in each pack.
So come on! go out and play some Lemmings! In my opinion, it's an excellent game, and anyone who loved the original should like this. If your not sure, you can always hire it (is that even possible with PSP games? oh, probably is..), and see how it goes. I won't be taking this out of my PSP for quite a while.
