Like the first two games, The Complete Saga delivers more Star Wars in LEGO form, but it still some good fun.

User Rating: 7.5 | LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga PC
Positive
- Same great LEGO Star Wars gameplay
- Still with plenty of unlockables
- All stages from the first two games

Negative
- Almost no changes to the gameplay
- Camera still a royal pain
- Co-op difficult on keyboard

The Complete Saga is a mash-up of the first two LEGO Star Wars games. There is almost no change to the gameplay and the story. Problems found in those two games are found here, including the bad camera and sometimes doesn't feel too good for a PC game. Nonetheless it's still that fun LEGO game, especially for newcomers. Fans that still want more LEGO Star Wars will find all previous levels together, with plenty of unlockables and hours of replay ability.

There are very little changes made from the two games. You may find some cutscenes, and also a level which wasn't in any. All said, The Complete Saga is LEGO Star Wars I & II fused together, and instead of having Episodes 1,2 and 3; and Episodes 4, 5 & 6 separately, you have them together. It doubles the replay value. The story is still told in the same way, with humorous and voiceless cutscenes and LEGO characters in it. The cutscenes are basically the same as before, but there is nothing wrong with that. To say it all, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is more aimed to those who haven't played any LEGO Star Wars game yet and want to play it. Fans may still give it a try. There's a ton of unlockables, and more characters to buy than ever before.

The gameplay is largely untouched, but it is still fun. There is also every single problem found in the two games, including a painfully annoying camera, and for a PC game the co-op isn't a smart idea. The keyboard feels too small to be playing co-op unless you get a gamepad. The controls can be changed as will, and even if you do so the game will change the default controls when telling you hints. The combat is as easy and it was, along with some logical and entertaining puzzles. If you played the two games, you'll already know almost all, so it is even easier to crawl through stages. The gameplay consists of light-saber swinging, gun shooting, using force and such. There are plenty of characters to play with; with some unlockable after beating a stage and others must be bought. After entering a level, you can wait and watch the loading screen telling you the story of what the stage is about with classic Star Wars music. After beaten the regular stage, you will unlock the free play mode; where you can select any character you like. There is no game over in the game, and very few enemies can kill if you are always vigilant. You have 4 hearts and if you lose them all your character dies; for a few seconds but you will lose some money. Getting money in stages has some good advantages, since the game will reward for getting a certain amount of money at the end of the stage. You will also need the money for buying stuff.

Not all characters play the same. For example those who use light-sabers get to jump a little higher than those with guns and can use the force. Those with guns can grapple to go high, while small characters can go into small places. Others might be needed to open doors but are not suited for combat. In some stages you will need to constantly shift from one character to another in order to progress. Playing with a friend can be advantages in this field, since the ally AI is totally useless. Most enemies can be eliminated with one or two hits, but the ally AI can take a lot of time to deal with them. Also they almost never protect you, making them useless. Same for the boss battles; having a friend makes life easier. The problem is the controls. On the keyboard it is difficult to find suitable keys to play with. Having four hands on a keyboard, especially if it's a laptop may not be fun. Plus the camera can be moved, and like it was before, it's a royal pain and more so in multiplayer. There are some vehicles to use and sometimes build in levels, but you may also use spaceships in a whole stage. If you played any previous game, you can understand just about anything I just wrote. One minor addition is the power-up which you'll in stages, which gives you faster speed and strength; nothing big though.

Visually LEGO Star Wars did look better on the PC than it was on the PC, most probably because the PC screen is much closer than the TV screen. Nothing special or impressive masterpiece, The Complete Saga is a great looking LEGO game mostly consists of clean and simple designs. The characters, vehicles and buildings are all made of LEGO blocks. It's not as top-notch as the real Star Wars, but it's gets the job done. The soundtrack and sound effects are faithful to Star Wars and are good. There is no voice acting as before not even if cutscenes, but the scenes have some humor and is good.

In the end, The Complete Saga isn't a must play even for die-hard LEGO fans; it's more for newcomers. There is too little new content for veterans, and too little to try to solve problems. Nonetheless it is still a fun, clean and simple LEGO game based on Star Wars. The fact that there are 6 episodes and a ton of replay value and unlockable may make The Complete Saga worth playing all over again when you have some time to kill. But for fans, is the LEGO Star Wars saga worth playing for a third time?

Graphics = 7.7
Looks simple but very good. Made of LEGO. Nothing particularly changed.

Sound = 7.3
Nothing changed.

Presentation = 7.0
The camera is still awful, the keyboard not adequate for co-op and the cutscenes are still mute. Much better value than the two games, since there are 6 episodes. Replay value is great, with plenty of things to spend money on.

Gameplay = 7.5
The gameplay is still as easy as you remember it. However The Complete Saga is still a fun game to play. It does have some issues, but if you played the first two games and liked them, you'll like this one.

Story = 7.9
Not explained very clearly, but it delivers the Star Wars feel. Of all LEGO Star Wars games, this is the most worth playing because it is the longest and most replay able.

OVERALL = 75 / 100
Like the first two games, The Complete Saga delivers more Star Wars in LEGO form, but it still some good fun.
