Run of the mill Lego game

User Rating: 4 | LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars X360

Honestly, I wasn't really expecting much going into this game. I just like playing Lego games, saw that it was on sale and figured "Why the heck not?". I remember when the game first came out and it got rather mediocre reviews and those scores are very well deserving.

Visually, There is a step up in comparison to the first Star Wars game but in comparison to other Lego games released around that time, It's rather disappointing to look at. The landscapes are a bit repetitive and dull looking. There are a few minor bugs to suffer from as well and the camera is rather frustrating to deal with at times. Especially when you are dealing with the flying levels.

The gameplay is still very much the same. They didn't add anything original or unique this time around, Which is rather disappointing. The main area of the game is your ship, which you use the map on it to access the levels scattered across a couple of systems. The missions, much like the previous Star Wars game, are your typical point a to point b style layout. The puzzles are predictable and easy to figure out, That is if the game hasn't already told you how to solve it with their visual cues. Aside from a cutscene before and after the mission, There is no story to it. And unless you are familiar with the Clone Wars TV show, You are gonna have no idea what's going on because they don't tell you jack.

Everything after that is your typical Lego stuff. Collect all the characters, vehicles, mini kits, red and gold bricks. Get True Jedi for each level and so on so forth. It's actually rather easy to grind out because the missions are rather short and a majority of the characters are unlocked for free via missions so you don't have to waste all your coins buying them. Co-op can make the game a bit more bearable to play but even then, It's not gonna be by much. I normally can stomach playing 2 missions before I have to stop due to the pure boredom of the game. They honestly do nothing original or unique with this one at all. It's all just recycled from previous instalments but with better graphics.

Overall: 4/10
I bought it for $10 so I can't complain too bad but I do feel sorry for those that paid a higher price for it. Clone Wars does nothing different from any other Lego game. It's just another weak way to milk the franchise. I had much more fun playing the dated complete saga than this piece of garbage.
