Lego Island is a sandbox style game that kids will enjoy but I am not to sure that the adults would.

Lego Island is an old Lego PC game that came out nearly a decade ago. In it you can pick from a variety of characters like Nick the policeman and Pepper, who uses a skateboard to deliver pizzas. There isn't much plot unless you actually kick things off with the evil Brickster.

Lego Island is basically just a small island where you can meet other Lego characters, take part in competitions and missions or just mess around with the island by changing a character's hat into a cup or making a tree blue instead of green. This stuff is really gets old quickly and there isn't mucn point in doing it at all.
The missions are probably the best part of the game even though there isn't a lot of them. You can help out the hospital, the pizzeria and so forth and these missions just consist of going from point A to point B. That is it. There is no enemies or anything to hinder you. The only thing that will try to make things difficult for you is sometimes a red parrot sets up a roadblock and you will have to go the long way around to reach your objective. Some of the missions have some pretty amusing outcomes. For instance, for a hospital mission has you helping a costumer from choking at the pizzeria. You soon realise that this guy has ate a dog, cat and even a shark. That is pretty cool and this stuff is what gives Lego Island personality.
You can also take part in races, a normal race one and a water one. These are pretty cool too because there is loads of stuff happening in the background but the actual racing is pretty crap. You can also drive vehicles outside of these events but you aren't given enough room to move around because the island has lots of narrow roads and you cannot actually drive off them onto the grass. This renders vehicles to be rubbish. There is lots of other stuff to do on Lego Island but when you see everything (which doesn't take very long) you don't want to play the game again.

The graphics in Lego Island are bad. It be fair this game did come out a long time ago and the whole thing is made up of Lego Bricks but still, the graphics are rubbish.

The sound is the same story actually. The voice acting is absolutely terrible and all of the other sound effects aren't anything to talk about. The music on the radios within the game is alright though.

So if you have kids, maybe buy this game but if you don't, stay away.
