Despite the confusing area building with mana system supposedly has to do something with the game, but did not have any affect for my gameplay, and area maps: what's the point in switching to the area map screen if moving from one spot to another with no possibility of choosing different road on the way? just frigging go to the next area automatically without wasting my time! And what's up with the bloody labyrinths everywhere? From one point the way seems closed, but when you travel all around the messy labyrinth and get to the same point from the different corner - POOF! now the way is opened + don't forget to return back to find something new! Sheesh, doesn't it sound troublesome? When it comes to quest solving, it doesn't get any easier: you have to run around every area of the map back and forth for something new to happen (new events and new dialogue options); sometimes it seems impossible to solve something, but miracles happen, you just accidentaly talk to someone repeatedly 5 times instead of one, 4 times out of it dialogue seems the same, but then, suddenly, characters change their minds and start talking about what you need. It is like a VERY deep puzzle, DEEPER than anyone imagines, so DEEP you can be lost forever, until you go to walkthrough section instead of wasting your time on needles things.
Yes, the storyline IS there, and for at least a start it looks inspiring, dialogues are pretty much fun with some clever jokes, lots of humour, pleasant drawings and funny scenes. But all this just doesn't cover up all the inconvenience you get playing this game. I just value my time too much to search for the next artifact god knows where and what task i have to finish at least to get the target.
I'm an RPG fan, but i couldn't finish this game for a reason.
