League of Legends (LoL) probably has one of the steepest learning curves of any game I've ever played. I start with this point so that the game will not discourage new people who may finish their first game with 0 kills and 7 deaths. The huge learning curve comes from 1) a huge selection of champions to choose from 2) the in-game language (ex: AD, AP, pusher, carry, jungle, etc.) can be very hard to grasp if you are new to these games. 3) How to fight and survive! If I could recommend anything for this game I would recommend learning when to fight and when to run. When in doubt, run...you do not want to die in this game! You will respawn a short time later but the other team starts getting bonuses to exp and gold when they kill you making it tough to fight back their advances. This game is terrific however! Fast paced action and the game really embraces the thought of teamwork and even gives you harsh penalties for leaving a game early and effectively hurting your teammates. It really seems like the developers care a lot about making a positive cooperative experience for everyone. You are also encouraged to try new champions and every week the game will pick 10 champions that you can try for free that week. You can spend real money on new champions but I have been getting through very well by just collecting points (IP) from playing games and using the points to unlock new characters. The skins are very creative for the champions and each champion has a story which explains their personalities. The negative that I took off for are the steep learning curve and the tutorial is pretty worthless and just not well done. But this game is free so just try it out!!!
