League of Legend is consider a Mutiplayer Online Battle Arena, MOBA, where it’s played as a third player due to selecting champions and play as them. The main objective is to destroy the enemy nexus in order to win. In order to do so, killing enemy champions and destroying their turrets are very necessary. Although this game has individual scores listed, it’s more about strategy and working as a team. Without strategy and teamwork, not matter how good your personal score is, you can end up with a defeat. League of Legend is not the only MOBA game available. It’s often compared to the game DOTA 2 where both games share almost the same exact playstyle.

League of Legend was first released on October 26, 2009 by Riot Games and ever since then, it has been really popular among teen players. With the game so popular, League of Legend actually has many competitions being held every year to bring out the best players to play the game. This gaves the game a clean and nice title to advertise out there for new players. Although League of Legend wasn’t the first MOBA game ever created. It’s still consider one of the top most played MOBA game.

The rules of the game are that each team is to destroy the nexus, which is the headquarters, of the opposing team. By doing, so they will be able to win the game. Each champion has specific skills that are governed by their specific cool downs, or times needed to wait for the skill to be used again and mana costs for each skill. The champions can also purchase items in the shop in which to enhance their characters damage or health or utility skills. The rules of the game incentivize each character to build their optimal items to deal the most damage or to increase their health to survive more damage. The game balances itself with patches each update of the game to insure that all items and champions are balanced in terms of power. There is also balance in the foundation of the game in terms of mana costs and cool downs for the skills to ensure that each champion does not become too powerful. There is a strong balance in the game as each champion has their own strengths and weaknesses which balance out in the game as each team is composed of 5 champions so all types of champions can be used.

There are many different champions and they all have their own special set of skills. Each of these champions are created from their back ground story along with their abilities. Without these stories behind them, the game would probably never been made like this. Although League of Legends is one of the most popular MOBA games, it also have a large impact on those who play them. Increasing all these abilities can make a really big difference in game like the increase of strategy. Although this game has many good impacts, it also has risks. Players often get too into the game and with this, they often lack sleep. Since this game takes around 30-50 minutes, time flies by really fast. Since some people might have trouble not playing this game, they would continuously play until they get sick of it. This can highly affect that person’s grade and healthy. Some people might not get affected as much as others. With active media, people who doesn’t play the game might have different opinions to ones who does play the game, active user. Active media might think this game is affecting this person in this way and it makes the game bad. But this isn’t what active users think. Active users would believe this game have educational level and how users can improve themselves by learning how to play this game.
