Its a great FMV game, aside from a few flaws.

User Rating: 8 | Late Shift PS4

Late Shift is an interactive FMV game which originally released in 2016 for the iOS devices. with later released on PS4, Xbone and PC in 2017 and the Nintendo Switch earlier this year.

The story centres around a university student named Matt, who is working a night shift at a car park when an altercation with a wounded thief lands him in a group, who are in the midst of performing a heist. Matt now has to fill in for the other person, since he had broken his arm during his mission.

Throughout the story, you'll be given multiple options to make, which will culminate with an ending sequence depending on those choices. Some of the decisions you have to make can make for some really tense moments. However, there are a few problems I'd like to address. For starters, you cannot choose a scene to start from in the main menu. Its either you know how to get to the specific ending or you're playing from the beginning again, which is tedious, to say the least.

Another thing is being unable to properly see what endings you obtained, which also amplifies the previous point I had made as it makes the process of getting all endings more tiresome than it should be.

That doesn't mean that the game is bad by any means. Late Shift is an action-packed thrill ride with its story and action sequences, but not making it easier to get all the other endings in the game by having you constantly start over is quite the misstep in terms of game design. Otherwise, Late Shift is a fun if a little flawed FMV game and is well worth the playthrough.
