A premature videogame disaster.

User Rating: 6.5 | Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness PC
Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness could have been a revolutionary gaming experience, and possibly have been an earlier "Uncharted" to the gaming world. Unfortunately, the game's development was set on "slow cook" and the community became impatient, resulting in a rushed development stage that presented us this mediocre, unfinished beauty. With some refined features like its animation and musical score, this game really could have been something. Unfortunately it never reached it's true potential.

The good:
-Amazing musical score.
-Occasional breathtaking scenery.
-Excellent animations.
-Interesting storyline.
-A handful of thrilling game play sequences.

The bad:
-Unfinished, and broken.
-Technical issues relating to sound and sometimes visuals, even on newer machines.
-Failure AI can either be an annoyance or be used to your advantage.
-Ridiculously horrible ragdoll physics. Especially during deaths of enemies or even yourself.
-Frequent game overs due to cheap mistakes require you to save almost once per minute of game.
-Certain cutscenes seem to be unfinished and require further tweaking and effort.
-Unclear objectives and random areas.
-Confusing ending leaving several questions unanswered.
-Lara randomly switches costumes throughout lacking explanation.

This game really could have been something great, but it lacked the extra effort it needed in order to be a possible masterpiece. Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness gets a 6.5/10 from me.
