I read the review. I was curious. I tried it. Now read why the reviewer is wrong.

User Rating: 6.5 | Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green PC
When one reviews a game one has to separate one's emotions and prejudice from the facts. Land of the Dead is not deserving of a 2.1 on the review scale. Perhaps the reviewer was having a bad day?

In short the single player aspect of Land of the Dead surrounds Jack, a farmer.
When an unresponsive guest turns up on Jack's lawn he is forced to protect himself and his property and Jack finds himself battling to survive in a zombie apocalypse.
Jack has to fight through various interesting surroundings and Land of the Dead boasts a wide variety of skins for the zombies. They are however only skins and the attacks of the zombies are limited, which brings me to the next controversial chapter of my review: The artificial intelligence.

Although I agree that the bad zombie AI makes LOTD lose a few points, the randomness of shots from guns aren't as unpredictable as many reviewers claim it is.
After playing for more than twenty hours surely professional reviewers would figure out that if you aim a little to the right and a little down every shot is completely accurate.
This leads me to believe that perhaps the reviewer did not spend sufficient time with the game, leading to a review written by emotion and ignorance.

The graphics and sound aren't nearly as bad either. The sound gets a little annoying after a while but the graphics are more than adequate for a zombie shooter, especially with such a variety of different zombie skins. Some skins are truly frightening and at twelve at night some of them are truly disturbing.

Finally, the multiplayer. To grasp how fun LOTD's multiplayer is do the following:
1) Get four of your friends together
2) Play LOTD Deathmatch at 2 AM.
At 2AM LOTD's multiplayer is extremely fun and you'll laugh so hard at some of your friends getting pwned by a zombie. What mortification!

In conclusion, a great multiplayer, awful plot and idiotic zombies make LOTD a prime candidate for the Hall of OK games and the reviewer will wonder what he/she was thinking when he's busy laughing at his friend being mauled by a zombie in multiplayer.
