Nicholson Electroplating Disaster is a bonus Arson Case for Detective Phelps and his partner Herschel Biggs to investigate a massive explosion that exploded so powerfully it caused a large mushroom cloud to appear over downtown Los Angeles. It fascinatingly is based on one of the largest industrial accidents in California history, and its roots in a real-life incident that made headlines across America for days afterward makes the case even more compelling by being in the shoes of a very good detective who is sure to sniff out the culprits and unearth the truth in a matter of time.
At 9:45 in the morning, a thunderous explosion rocks Los Angeles. City blocks are flattened and smoke and ash fill the air. Detective Phelps and Biggs race to the site of the former Nicholson Electroplating plant to find a pile of unanswered questions. What caused the explosion? What were Nicholson's employees working on? And where are the chief chemist and his mysterious female assistant? There's plenty of deception and mystery, and this case includes layers upon layers of intrigue. While you may be surprised it's over so quickly, and may ponder whether every question you had was answered or explained properly with the corresponding clues you found, the conclusion of a car chase and dramatic shootout still leave you reasonably satisfied with what you get in the short playing time.

Crime scenes are splendidly detailed and utterly engrossing to get stuck into and try to piece clues to people, and then attempt to convert them to suspects, and while each objective follows a familiar pattern to most other cases it never ceases to be interesting, and never falls into the category of repetition. And of course, a solid case couldn't possibly go without utilising the revolutionary interrogation mechanics aided dramatically by the advanced use of motion capture, and Nicholson Electroplating is a piece of L.A. Noire DLC that you shouldn't miss out on.

OVERALL SUMMARY - 8/10
=========================
Good Points: Extremely well detailed crime scenes, Case pulls you in because of the fact it's based on a real-life incident from that time period.

Bad Points: Case doesn't feel like it ties up all loose ends when it's finished and is over quite quickly.
